History.

In 1968/69 the idea was born to set up a Knorr-Bremse service network, i.e. to create a brake service with the trade of air brake devices.

The articles of incorporation concluded in September 1980 included the trade in air brake devices, brake devices and their accessories as well as spare parts. It was also entered in the Vienna Commercial Register in the same year.

In 1981 the articles of incorporation were expanded to include the sale of automotive components, spare parts and accessories. On 1st September 1981, the business premises at Mödlinger Beethovengasse 43-45 were opened under the eponymous managing director Dipl.-Ing. Kuno Skach. Skach was authorized to be a representative for Knorr-Bremse products in Vienna, Lower Austria and Burgenland.

In the following years, the steadily increasing sales revenue made it possible to expand the sales premises and to build up a warehouse for the constantly expanding range of commercial products. Products from Wabco and Haldex (grey) brake devices had also been added in the meantime.

In 1993 Mr. Skach retired and left the company. Today Skach GmbH is managed by the managing directors Dipl.-Ing. Manfred Reisner and Ing. Ladislaus Kuralovics. Six employees take care of attending to and supplying our customers with original parts and accessories.
